Carven’s winter garden

From 9 to 11 December, Carven sets up its greenhouse in the Palais-Royal Garden, just steps away from the Colonnes de Buren. An immersion in a floral universe, a tribute to the founder of the Maison.

A cube. Flowers. Playful lights. An entire poetic programme dreamt up by Maison Carven. Returning to its roots, the Maison unveils a modern interpretation of the greenhouse – and the colour green, its most iconic shade. Inside? Extravagant compositions by Parisian artisanal florist Salamalaykoum. Seasonal mimosas and grasses rub shoulders with orchids, turned upside-down. A contemporary block that must be explored before it reveals its every corner...

A RADIANT SET DESIGN

Four scenes, gracing the four sides of the cube, come to life throughout the day with coloured spotlights, lighting techniques and smoky effects. For an original, unique and personal experience. Like an invitation to ponder one’s relationship with the earth, plants and nature, in a voluntarily urban universe. A way to ground oneself again. A moment suspended in time, to catch one’s breath.

A FLORAL HOMAGE

Carmen de Tommaso, founder of Maison Carven, was a devoted flower enthusiast. She loved them so much that she even owned greenhouses. She drew inspiration from these havens of peace. Her collections also blossomed with small and large floral prints that still adorn the fabrics of the Maison’s creations today.
