#CARVENSEENBY Yuyi John

For its Advent Calendar, Carven gave carte blanche to 20 artists, each of whom was asked to revisit a key item in the 2018 cruise collection. To revisit his sunglasses, Serge Ruffieux commissioned John Yuyi, a multi-tasking artist known for her ephemeral tattos.
Who are you ?
I was born in 1991 and grew up in Tapei. I now live in New York. I am an artistic director, photographer, stylist and fashion designer. In 2015, I launched the ephemeral tattoo project "Face Post" which has been widely covered by the international press. In 2017, I collaborated with Gucci.
What does this pre-Christmas period mean to you ?
Celebration. And I can not stay alone. I take this opportunity to spend time with my boyfriend. We reflect on the past year and see how quickly it has gone. It's also time to leave it behind and plan our new year!
What would be your ultimate artistic dream for the year 2018 ?
I dream of a solo show! In February, the month of my birthday. I would love to work with a big magazine and make headlines! Maybe someday!
